Actually this outfit wasn’t planned at all. My boyfriend and I went a bit crazy in a super cute vintage store in Amsterdam (everything about it in my last blogpost here) – and this is the result. Usually I don’t like shirts where the brands name is printed hugely at the front…at first for defending myself I said “Well, I ran out of shirts and this was a good and cheap one.” When we came back home I looked at my new pair of jeans and this shirt and was thinking “This really (and surprisingly) fits together.” I had to overcome myself a little because combining black with blue is a kind of no-go for me. This time though I have to agree with Yves Saint Laurent – blue and black are no taboo-combo.
For the reason of shopping I didn’t bring many accessories with me. My choker is one half of black tights and I only brought one scrunchy with me (biggest.mistake.ever) so “extreme” hairstyling wasn’t possible.
The shoes are my absolute favorite ones and that’s why I wear them to death…they’re so comfortable and stylish! On top of it all I wore the adidas jacket which we bought for my boyfriends father. Originally I just wore it because I wanted to have a jacket during driving on the scooter through Amsterdam haha. Eventually the outfit is a mix of the 70’s high waisted jeans and the 90’s freaky style and that’s why I like it so much. Sometimes you gotta try something different and step out of the comfort zone. And sometimes simplicity is the key.
